At least 50 people have been killed, and more than 40 reported injured including Pakistani Forces, in a bomb blast near a polling station in the Balochistan city of Quetta, according to officials.

More than 28 people were wounded in the blast, a spokesperson for Quetta Civil Hospital,

The blast, which appeared to have targeted a Pakistani Forces convoy, took place just hours after polls opened in Pakistan for the country's parliamentary elections.
