We are thankful to Baloch nation cooperating media boycott. Gwahram
Quetta: Gwaharm Baloch, the spokesman of
Balochistan Liberation Front said “with every passing day there is an
incremental rise in state terrorism, persecution and barbarity and human
rights violations in occupied Balochistan. Pakistan Army with it’s foot
soldiers and aerial might destroying hundreds of villages through
looting, burning and by forced migration. Military forces arrest, harass
and abduct children, teen, women and aged; after that throw the
mutilated bodies of them. Such gruesome activities have been the order
of day.” Gwaharm Baloch added, “Army established its cheek posts and
camp after every two to five kilometers to strengthen its waning
colonial occupation of Balochistan. There is a constant surge in the
number of these check posts. In majority of the areas, the health
centers, schools and colleges have been converted into military check
posts and camps. Even in some cases they forcibly evacuated residents
and turned their houses into camps.”
Gwaharm Baloch said, “Pakistan Army and its intelligence agencies are
culprits in war crimes for the mass murder of Baloch nation through its
new policy of collective punishment. But these heinous crimes of
Pakistani forces are hidden in sight of international community because
media is silent on this humanitarian crisis (in Balochistan).” He
stated,” Surely the media is under intense pressure coming from Pakistan
Army and other security forces, and media, instead of resisting these
illegal demands, has given up the struggle; due this silence of media
Pakistan is able to blanket its war crimes. Currently media is only
playing the role of a sponsor of state narrative. Under these
circumstances Balochistan Liberation Front on 24th October 2017 decided
to boycott the media in Balochistan in sole purpose to help the media
houses to come out of this limbo and do transparent reporting on
Balochistan.”
Gwaharm Baloch further added, “Surely our this desired effort in some
way remained fruitful for those media men who wanted to come out of
state pressure and do unbiased journalism. Another way our boycott
exposed the collaboration of anti Baloch and biased media and the state.
Therefore today Balochistan Liberation Front decided to take back the
call of media boycott.”
Gwaharm Baloch said “We are thankful to Jiyand Baloch, the spokesman of
BLA supporting our media boycott. We are also highly thankful to Baloch
journalists and Baloch nation those who cooperated us in this cause.”
